Welcome to Father & Son Hunting!

This website was developed because of my son, who - because of the dangers of the internet, will be referred to simple as Little Man or "LM" as not to mention his name publicly.  I wanted to find a place to talk about the passion he has given me - no, not hunting...but the ability to share in his passion!

Since Little Man was around six or seven years of age, he developed a passion for hunting.  He lived it, breathed it, and talked about it all of the time.  (Trust me...me and the wife lost both ears from time to time after having our ears talked off from it.)  The problem was, dear old Dad here had given up hunting a long time ago because I simple didn't want to kill animals.  To be honest, it almost broke my heart to know that Little Man wanted to hunt. 

Then one day, I realized something.  I live a busy life.  I barely have time to think - much less play ball or anything else with my son.  Plus, this passion of his consumes him...and it comes up in every topic.  "Hey, Dad...did you know that the whitetail deer can grow to be...."  He studied every fact known to man before he was even eight.  I finally realized two things:

1. If ya can't beat 'em....join 'em.  So I may as well entertain his passion.
2. By engaging once again in hunting, I can spend quality time with him without outside distractions and get some good one-on-one time with him.

I hope to use this site to chronicle our journeys together as we hunt.  Who knows what you may get from it.  Even if we never score a big buck, a turkey, or even a story of "the-one-that-got-away", I know that I will have had the time of my life spending it with my son.
